Yes, I will not spend a penny on Gas, but… How much will it raise my electric bill?
Comparing the amount of money you’ll spend on an electric scooter Vs. a regular Gas vehicle it’s not even fair (for them).  Charging your Ae-bike it’s less than 8¢ per full charge. This means, if you fully-charge your bike every day and ride it the whole month, you’ll be getting approx 850 miles for less than $2.5 . Told you it wouldn’t be fair to compare it! =)..

My keys, besides starting the scooter, what are they for?
Obviously, you’ll receive a key to start the scooter. The second key is to open the AE-Rearbox (storage unit at the rear of the scooter). The third key is the key for the cable lock that is provided by American Electric.

What if I have a mechanical breakdown?
We do our very best to insure that breakdowns don’t happen. If you do have a breakdown or if you feel the scooter is unsafe to operate, call our 24 hour help line and the problem will be remedied. We provide every scooter with a 1-year membership to our Road-Side Assistance service..

How do I protect my scooter?
Common sense is the best guide. Try to place your bike in a safe, lightened location. Our AE-Bikes 2012 come with an amazing Sound+Motion Alarm System that will activate immediately, emitting a really loud sound, and auto-blocking the tires, so nobody can take it away. In addition to that, when parking your scooter, always make sure it is located in a legal parking area. Also, make sure your key cable lock is used to secure your scooter to a tree, post, etc. The proper method for security, is place the cable through the spokes on the rear wheel and around the stationary post.

Is It Mandatory to wear a helmet?
Yes, if you’ll be riding your AE-Bike in a “must-wear-helmet state” (like the Virgin Islands). However, if you’re not in a “must-not-wear-helmet state” (like Florida), we still recommend you to wear a helmet for safety reasons. Can I listen to my I-pod when riding my scooter?
It’s probably a bad idea to cover your ears with sound when you’re in a traffic environment. We recommend all our customers to be fully aware of any cars, pedestrians and other elements out there in the street.
